Perkembangan teknologi digital tidak hanya mengubah cara manusia berkomunikasi, tetapi juga memengaruhi kerangka berpikir individu. Kerangka berpikir atau paradigma mendasari proses komunikasi manusia. Dalam konteks komunikasi tradisional, paradigma cenderung fokus pada model linear yang menekankan transmisi pesan dari pengirim ke penerima secara satu arah. Namun dalam era digital, komunikasi mengalami transformasi. Menuju paradigma yang lebih interaksional, partisipatif, bahkan konstruktif. Makna tidak sekadar ditransfer, namun dibangun secara kolaboratif melalui interaksi sosial yang dinamis dan berlangsung secara realtime. Paradigma pada konteks komunikasi digital memperluas peran individu. Dari sekadar konsumen informasi menjadi produsen dan co-creator makna. Oleh karena itu penting memahami bagaimana paradigma komunikasi berkembang pada ruang digital. Agar mudah dalam menelaah bagaimana cara kerja interaksi sosial modern.
